Before Camillias Jewelry became a name whispered among women who understand quiet luxury, it was a lineage — a childhood spent watching raw diamonds turn into heirlooms, a life shaped between Lebanon’s emotional landscapes and Switzerland’s exacting precision. Today, Camillias stands as a rare kind of high-end jewelry house: one that merges cultural inheritance with contemporary aesthetics, ethical craftsmanship with intimate emotion.
In Belgrade, Michelle found the final note of her tri-continental story — a place where tradition feels alive and jewelry becomes a reflection of identity itself. This is her world: a space where gold holds memory, diamonds carry meaning, and each piece is crafted to become part of who you are.

Camillias Jewelry was born in Geneva — the world’s cradle of precision and luxury — and now it lives in Belgrade as well.
What was the vision behind creating your own high-end jewelry brand, and how did your journey from Lebanon to Switzerland and now Serbia shape that vision?

Raw diamonds and golden threads were part of my family DNA – I grew up watching my relatives transform precious metals into dreams. Camillias Jewelry isn’t just a brand, it’s a love letter written across three continents. My journey from Beirut’s emotional intensity taught the art of storytelling through gold, while my move to Switzerland revealed that true luxury whispers, never shouts. Geneva’s refined precision became the foundation of my craft. In Belgrade, modern energy makes tradition feel alive. Here I’ve discovered how to blend Middle Eastern passion with Swiss perfection and Balkan boldness. Each piece is a conversation between worlds – this is jewelry with a passport, where every ring and necklace carries stories from three cultures, three aesthetics, three ways of seeing beauty. At Camillias, we don’t just make jewelry – we craft personal stories, creating a new kind of luxury where heritage meets innovation and the ancient art of goldsmithing gets a contemporary soul.

The world of fine jewelry is both alluring and fiercely competitive.
How do you see Camillias positioning itself within this global landscape — what makes your brand’s voice unique in a market of timeless elegance and diamonds?

Many houses are still designing for those once-in-a-lifetime moments like weddings and galas, but what about Tuesday morning coffee or that important client meeting? Our focus has always been on everyday luxury because I design jewelry for clients who are smart, stylish people who refuse to wait for permission to wear something beautiful. They’re the kind of women and men who understand that life’s most precious moments happen in the in-between – not just on red carpets. That’s where our philosophy comes alive: we blend traditional hard handwork with a modern eye, creating pieces that honor centuries-old techniques while speaking to how we actually live today. It’s this balance that makes Camillias distinct – we’re not chasing trends or creating Instagram moments. Instead, we focus on substance: authenticity, heritage and the human touch behind every single gem. Because at the end of the day, the most luxurious thing you can wear is something that feels like it was made specifically for your story, your hands, your everyday extraordinary life. I wanted to make diamonds that feel lived in – part of your life, not apart from it.

Camillias pieces are made with ethically sourced natural diamonds and 18-karat gold.
What does ethical luxury mean to you personally, and how important is transparency in the modern luxury industry?

Ethical luxury isn’t a buzzword for me – it’s about integrity. It means respecting every single hand that contributes to the final creation, from the miners who first touch these stones to the craftsmen who shape them, to the women who ultimately make them part of their story. True luxury today isn’t just about beauty – it’s about purpose, which is why we work exclusively with responsibly sourced, certified stones and traditional techniques that have stood the test of time for generations.

But here’s the thing – transparency matters. I want people to know exactly where their jewelry comes from, but I also want them to feel deeply connected to the story of how it was made and the human hands behind every single piece. Because when you slip on a Camillias ring or clasp one of our necklaces, you’re not just wearing something beautiful – you’re wearing something that was made beautifully. That’s the difference between luxury that’s hollow and luxury that has a soul, between jewelry that decorates and jewelry that honors every person who helped bring it to life.

Jewelry often carries emotion — it’s an intimate reflection of the person who wears it.
What message or feeling do you want people to experience when they wear a Camillias piece?

I want them to feel like themselves – jewelry should never be something you have to ‘put on,’ it should feel like part of you. Each piece we craft holds real emotion because it captures a moment, a milestone, a private memory that belongs only to you. When someone wears Camillias jewelry, I want them to feel powerful – it’s about that deep connection where each piece gives you the power of your moment, the power of being completely, authentically you. This is jewelry meant to be worn every day, loved deeply, and eventually passed on to someone who matters. That’s what I love most – seeing how a ring or bracelet tells the story of the person who wears it and watching how it makes them feel genuinely empowered. Because here’s the truth: it’s not the stone that’s meant to shine, it’s the person wearing it. The diamonds, the gold, the craftsmanship – they’re all just there to amplify what’s already inside you, to give you that quiet confidence that comes from wearing something that feels like it was always meant to be yours.

From design sketches to the final shimmering detail — each piece tells a story.
What inspires your creative process, and how do you balance modern design aesthetics with the timeless language of fine jewelry?

The tension between modern design and traditional fine jewelry is where the magic happens. Balancing modernity and timelessness isn’t about playing it safe – it’s about respecting the rules of craftsmanship while having the courage to completely reimagine them. I’m personally drawn to contrast: watching heritage collide with a modern eye and seeing what sparks fly. Camillias Jewelry exists at this intersection – it’s an ongoing dialogue between artistry, heritage, your deepest emotions and cutting-edge design and that creative tension inspires every single creation. This isn’t about choosing sides between old and new – it’s about creating a third option that honors both while belonging completely to neither. My goal is always to create jewelry that doesn’t just complement you – it becomes part of your DNA. Because the most powerful pieces aren’t the ones that announce themselves when you walk into a room – they’re the ones that feel so essentially you that people can’t imagine you without them. That’s the sweet spot where tradition meets rebellion, where heritage gets a heartbeat and where jewelry stops being an accessory and starts being an extension of who you are.
